What are the Amazon Prime flight deals?
Here’s a fun holiday travel tip: Amazon and StudentUniverse have joined forces to offer a limited number of $25 flights to Prime young adult members. This news comes just in time for students and young adults to make last-minute travel plans to spend the holidays with their families and friends, which can be otherwise really expensive, verging on totally unaffordable, especially for those living on an instant-ramen kind of budget.
“The holidays are a time to gather with loved ones, make memories and create traditions, and we’re happy to help make flying more affordable for young adults who want to spend this important time with family and friends,” said Amazon’s U.S. Prime and Marketing Tech vice president, Carmen Nestares, in a press release.
Booking a ticket is easy. To use this deal, all Prime young adult members need to do is visit the Amazon StudentUniverse page while the promotion is live and search for round-trip or one-way domestic flights anywhere in the United States—including Hawaii and Alaska. If $25 tickets are available, they’ll be included in the search results. Just book the ticket and you’re good to go!
When do the deals start?
Amazon Prime’s $25 flight promotion runs for five days, from Monday, Dec. 9, at 1 p.m. EST until Friday, Dec. 13, at midnight. Each day at 1 p.m. EST, 1,000 tickets will be available for $25, a rate that includes a built-in discount of up to $700 off the current retail value of the ticket. Once the tickets are sold out, they’ll be gone for good, so check early each day for your chance to book based on availability and flight destination.
Another important note: The itinerary must fall between Dec. 9, 2024, and Jan. 14, 2025, to be eligible for the promotion.
Who is eligible for Amazon Prime flight deals?
Anyone with a Prime young adult membership can try their luck at scoring this limited-time $25 Amazon Prime flight deal. To become a Prime young adult member, 18- to 24-year-olds and students must verify either their age or student status to receive a free six-month trial. After the trial period ends, the membership automatically renews for $7.49 per month, but the good news is that you can cancel at any time.
While it is exclusively students and young adults who are eligible for the promotion, parents can make their kids’ holiday wishes come true (and their own!) by gifting kids the funds to foot the bill. Who knew $25 could go such a long way? Literally.
What are other benefits of an Amazon Prime young adult membership?
In addition to the chance to snag a $25 flight this holiday season, Amazon Prime’s young adult membership has plenty of other perks. For starters, members get free delivery from Amazon, including options for two-day, one-day and same-day delivery, as well as free food delivery from Grubhub+. Members also get unlimited access to Amazon Prime Video, Amazon Prime Music and Amazon Prime Gaming.
For students, the discount on textbooks and the collection of free digital comics, audiobooks and ebooks might be one of the most enticing Amazon Prime benefits, because, as any college student knows, textbooks can be really expensive. Young adult members also get a free trial and discounted subscription to the Calm meditation app, a month of free tutoring from Course Here and $5 off their first purchase from Amazon Warehouse.
And, hey, if they don’t get one of the $25 flights, at least they’ll have plenty of Prime benefits to keep them busy!
