It’s Official! McDonald’s Snack Wraps Have Finally Made Their Tasty Return

The long-awaited return of McDonald’s Snack Wraps on July 10 stirred up major buzz online—but for many fans, the comeback has fallen flat. “The old Snack Wraps were WAYYYYYY better,” said TikTok user @mel. “The new ones taste like the ones I try to recreate at home.”
The main complaint seems to be that the original Chicken Selects have been replaced by McCrispy Strips, which just don’t hit the same. “This is going to sound crazy, but I literally remember the last time I had a Snack Wrap,” one Reddit user wrote. “I had one today and it wasn’t the same—very rubbery and sad.” Another added, “It tastes nothing like the old one. I took a bite and the chicken wasn’t crispy at all—just this weird rubbery mess. The lettuce was sad and soggy. Like … who said this was good??”
Still, not everyone is writing off the new version. Some fans are finding ways to make it work—with a little customization. “I had one today to try it, even though I saw bad reviews here,” one Reddit user posted. “Mine looked almost like this and was good. The breading taste was different, but honestly, I just added pickles and I’d eat several of these.”
The bottom line? Those who never tried the Snack Wrap back in the day might actually like it. But for those seeking the nostalgic taste of the old Snack Wrap, this return isn’t what they were hoping for.

How long will Snack Wraps be available?
Forever! The Snack Wrap is now a permanent menu item. It’s joining another returning favorite—McDonald’s bagels, which came back for good on Feb. 15, 2025. This is different than something like the blueberry & crème pie, which is available only for a limited time this summer.
Is McDonald’s thinking of bringing back any other fan favorites?
While McDonald’s hasn’t revealed any other fan-favorite comebacks just yet, the chain is making it clear that they’re listening. “We listen to our fans, and the Snack Wrap’s return is a testament to that,” McDonald’s U.S. President Joe Erlinger told the Associated Press.
In the meantime, McDonaald’s is keeping things exciting with limited-time treats like the Hershey’s S’mores McFlurry, available through Aug. 11, and the Daily Double burger, once a regional secret but now nationwide and part of the McValue Meal Deal through the end of 2025.
